RH Associates is a family owned and operated business that began with Ron Harris in the late 50’s with Triangle Associates designing homes in Los Altos Hills and other parts of the Bay Area.  He and his wife Pat, who does the accounting, moved to Lake of the Pines north of Auburn, California in the late 80’s and was joined by their son, Daryl.  Daryl took over the business in the early 90’s allowing Ron to semi-retire, working 3 days and golfing 2 days each week.  Ron and Daryl travel to the Bay Area once a week to meet with clients, city planning and building department officials and to visit construction sites.

The business has been built entirely on word of mouth and reputation.  The client’s satisfaction has always been number one for Daryl and Ron.  Our job is to make sure the client gets what he or she wants with our guidance driven by experience and knowledge of the way buildings work, the current codes and what the site constraints are.

All of our current as well as many of our past projects comply with Green Building standards that include solar energy, structural insulated panels (SIPS), insulating concrete forms (ICF) and geothermal.
